Diane di Prima (1934-2020)

November 8, 2020
by Paul Nelson

Poetry Postcard Fest poet Margaret Mayer suggested linking my “Poet’s Obituary” for Diane di Prima here on the Poetry Postcard Fest site and I figured it was a good idea because Diane was a postcard poet in the first year of the fest, 2007! (I’m searching my files like crazy and if YOU have a poem from Diane year one, feel free to scan both sides and send it here for us to share with Poetry Postcard Fest folks.)

Hear my 1999 interview with di Prima recorded at the old SPLAB in Auburn, WA here, which includes Kurt Hemmer’s photographic evidence that I was young and attractive once:

See her NY Times obit here.
