Poetry Postcard Fest Open Mic

August 23, 2020
by Paul Nelson

Please join us for the first Poetry Postcard Fest Open Mic, via Zoom, Sunday, September 13 at 4pm PDT. We’ll meet for 90 minutes, discuss our 2020 Poetry Postcard Fest experience and read a few poems. 3 minute time limit so TIME YOUR PRESENTATION in advance, please. The event will be recorded and uploaded afterwards to Youtube. Meeting I.D. 206.422.5002.

If when you finish Poetry Postcard Fest and want to write about your experience, a POPO2020 Afterword (many examples of which are on this site) perhaps you could share a bit of that with the gathered. Signup will commence as the Zoom meeting begins in the chat section and if there is more interest in reading than time allows on September 13, we’ll schedule a second such event.

Zoom Workshop Update

The fall Poetics as Cosmology workshop (facilitated by Paul E Nelson, also via Zoom) is SOLD OUT for the Saturday morning edition, so we are opening up a Sunday afternoon, 4-6pm Zoom workshop and have 13 slots available. See: https://paulenelson.com/2020/08/23/poetics-as-cosmology/. Some scholarships are available. Ask Paul Nelson. This is primed to be a perfect way to expand on your Poetry Postcard Fest experience to more fully appreciate the art of spontaneous composition and learn how to more deeply entwine your life, in all of its creative manifestations, and your poetry practice.

    Hi Paul,
Will we all receive a zoom invitation to the open mic or do we need to rsvp? I couldn’t find a way to rsvp. Thanks.
